A: Computer generated images that supplement real-live images. This app uses augmented reality in the BeFriend Zone.

Q: What is the BeFriend Zone?

A: Use your device's camera here to scan Yo-kai Medals and summon Yo-kai into AR (Augmented Reality.)

Q: I've tapped on BeFriend Zone and now a there is a diagram with symbols on the screen, what do I do next?

A: These are tribe symbols. Each Yo-kai belongs to a tribe. Check the symbol at the bottom of your medal, then tap the matching symbol on the screen.

Q: What is the Wiki?

A: Here you can learn all about the different Yo-kai!

Q: How do I use the Wiki?

A: Scroll through the Tribe Bar at the top of the screen to select a Tribe. Then scroll through the Tribe's medals to select a character. Tap a medal to bring up the character bio.

Q: What can I do in the Wiki?

A: Here you can check the Yo-kai rarity level, view 3D and 2D versions of the characters, add characters to your arcade team, and check out character challenges that will unlock new items!

Arcade

Q: What is the arcade?

A: You can play 3 free arcade games using any of the Yo-kai you have unlocked!

Q: Are the arcade games free to play?

A: Yes, they are completely free to play with no in-app purchases.

Q: Why are some of the games locked?

A: You can unlock games and items by leveling up.

How Do I Play?

Robo Choco

Tilt the device left and right to move Robonyan's vacuum arm. Collect chocolate beans to make Choco Bars!

Capsule Escape

Help Yo-kai to escape by tilting the device left and right. Escape before time runs out!

Manji Mutt

Tilt the device left and right to guide the Yo-kai Medal to the bottom and get as many points as you can!

Q: What is the Tribe of the Day?

A: Use a Yo-kai from that days selected tribe to unlock a special Bucket Challenge for more points! Tribes will change daily.

Photo Booth

Q: What is the Photo Booth?

A: Here you can take a picture and then decorate it with unlocked Yo-kai and other stickers!

Q: Can I save pictures to my device?

A: Yes, you can save pictures directly to your device.

Trophy Room

Q: What is the Trophy Room?

A: Here you can check what stickers, games, and other items you have unlocked by leveling up.

Unlocking Yo-kai

Q: Are all of the Yo-kai locked?

A: No, you will start off with Jibanyan, Komasan, and Whisper available to use from the start!

Q: How do I unlock more Yo-kai?

A: Register Yo-kai Medals via QR codes located on the back of medals, to unlock more characters. or Continue leveling up until you reach level 52. Then all Yo-kai will unlock.

Q: How do I get Yo-kai Medals?

A: Yo-kai Medals will be released in January 2016! Check your local stores for more details!

Q: How do I register QR codes?

A: Select the QR button from one of the various in-game screens. Then use the device's camera to scan in QR codes located on the back of Yo-kai Medals to register Yo-kai and unlock them!
